About Me
Welcome! My name is Fred Kellerman, I am the owner of 6D7 Technologies LLC which I founded in 2020. If you work with me, you will find that I am a person who truly loves to engage with people. Integrity and honest communications are my primary attributes. I enjoy conversation and have always had great relationships with my work colleagues and clients.
Besides science, I love family, photography, and travel. I am a lifelong learner and always eager to know more about our beautiful planet Earth and the greater universe in which it resides. It has been amazing in my lifetime to see glimpses of the distant heavens through the eyes of the Hubble and James Webb telescopes as well as measured proof of Einstein's foretold gravitational waves.
I do not practice religion or hate, but when it comes to faith I am a follower of Jesus Christ. Even though I still have many questions, I believe that the love of God shown through the life and resurrection of Christ is the cornerstone to having true peace and hope in a world that seems so broken.
I graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology with BSEE and MSEE degrees with a concentration in signal and image processing. After school I worked in the defense industry for over two decades. I was a Senior Principal Engineer for L3Harris developing cutting-edge MILCOM software-defined radio systems. I had the privilege of working with many great engineers, scientists, and managers. This was where I learned how to program real-time mission-critical multiprocessor, DSP, and FPGA power-sensitive systems. I have worked on all layers of MILCOM radio systems, but my favorite was the physical layer of proprietary waveforms. During that tenure, teams I worked on introduced one of the first mobile ad-hoc networking waveforms used in real combat missions. During this time I also accumulated 10 U.S. and International team patent awards.
Part-time, I also had the opportunity to teach many students from all over the world. I taught C programming and Digital Wireless Communications to graduate students for the Electrical Engineering Department of RIT.
It is a great time to be alive when it comes to computing. There have been many significant advancements in my lifetime, soon 1nm silicon chips will be here! It is mind-blowing how much compute you can now hold in your hand or have on your desk. Several times over the years AI has come to the forefront, and now it appears to be here to stay. This is partly why I began 6D7 Technologies LLC, so that I can continue to collaborate, create, and innovate using the latest technologies.
I look forward to working with or hearing from you!
Kind regards — Fred
